Oh January, you were not as cold as I wanted you to be.
This month has been okay? Nothing big happened; only a few things worth noting.
- My obsession with comic books went on overload. I was shoving The Wicked + The Divine into people’s face, so there’s that.
- And because of my obsession with comic books, I got into quite of a major reading slump. I still am in this slump, which totally sucks because I want to read! Booo.
- I did get a physical copy of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, which I’m frickin’ excited about! Gotta get some oreos before I start reading it! Yeeeeee.
- I finally read Vicious, and it is as awesome as everybody says it is. SO IN LOVE. THE FOUND FAMILY, JUST, MY FAVEEEE.
- I got a ticket to see Leighton Meester perform in March! YESSSSSSSSS. I’m gonna be swaying and singing along in her presence. ;)

ON THE BLOG
- I reviewed:
- Grasshopper Jungle by Andrew Smith. Sooo bizarre and crude, but weirdly entertaining book.
- Legion: Skin Deep by Brandon Sanderson. Stephen Leeds and his aspects on a job? YES PLEASE. Give me more.
- I talked about:
- why you need to read The Wicked + The Divine comic. How can you say no to gods who are incarnated into popstars with only two years to live? You simply can’t!
- the music I listened to 2014. So many wonderful artists you should definitely check out.
- talked about my blogging goals for 2015!
- cover changes in Dissonance by Erica O’Rourke.
- the various Portrait Silhouettes on book covers.
- I wrote letters to:
- Charlotte and I decided to partake in Epic Recs. We discussed the books we recommended to each other.
- I did some sleuthing and found the fonts used for the book titles of Fairest, A Darker Shade of Magic, Soulprint, and Love, Lucy.
- The final voting round for YA Book Cover Choice Awards occurred this past month! And we now have winners! See which covers won each categories!
PLANS FOR FEBRUARY 2015
- Read all the books and prep reviews.
- Start emailing people for new features and whatnot.
- More comic book-pushing.

Gaaaah, I missed your post about The Wicked + The Divine. Why, self?! I’ll fix that rn, though.
Man, I’m so happy you read and loved Vicious. Like, extremely. And Simon is amaaaaaazing, I’m so glad you’ll be reading it soon and with oreos, hells yeah!

Yes to comic books! I got addicted to them during Winter 2014 because of my English teacher lol. She’s a big comic fan so she made our class read Fables. I think I already told you about this lol. But yes, ever since we read that comic book, I’ve been looking for more comic books to read. I think I want to read either Saga or The Wicked + The Divine b/c I’m not really into comics with superheroes (yet).

OH MY GOD LEIGHTON MEESTER <33333
I haven't really read any comic books but I know that I should. I feel really narrow on my reading tastes and I totally want to change that. Also, I'm staring at your books and drooling over Ruin and Rising. It is SO GOOD. Like left me in a book coma, good :)
