Brand spankin’ New Year! But yet, it still doesn’t seem like 2017 will be a good year.
My January was mainly filled with hanging with newfound friends, making regretful decisions, stressing about work, and buying more comics than I should be.

This week’s topic is “top ten nine comics on my TBR.” Bless this Top Ten topic because comics! I could write essays about my love for comics and talk about all my favorite ones, but I’m not gonna do it here. Instead, I want to talk about the comics that are my TBR—ones that I should be reading right now but I just haven’t because of mood or work. There’s so many comics, but these are the ones that are an absolute must because they’re the top comics or I have them on my shelf.

Why I’m excited: Although I am not the biggest fan of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen, I can’t help but want to read this comic because of Black Canary. Any comics with Black Canary, I immediately need it in my life. (I love that her past as a superhero rock star is carried into this comic.) Also, I heard excellent things about the writing, and that it’s best of the Rebirth stories.

MUSIC TO MY Y(EAR) | 2016
My music in 2016 wasn’t as…plentiful like the previous years.
2015 was full of wonderful ladies, but 2016? I don’t even know how to define that year in music. I guess I can say it was just slow?
My 2016 was a mix of badassery ladies who make me want to slash tires and set things on fire, KPOP, soundtracks, some fave bands new releases, and old high school favorites that have me singing along.

Galavant is a comedy musical television show that aired on ABC. The music of the series is composed by Alan Menken and Christopher Lennertz.
Galavant is frickin’ amazing. I didn’t know I would fall head over heels in love with this musical comedy, but I did. It’s not the cliche fairytale story with a dashing knight, a princess, and an evil king. It’s so much more than that. It’s funny, and it’s not afraid to poke fun at tired old tropes that you usually see in this genre. The music is so frickin’ catchy, and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

Did I screech in excitement when I heard Batgirl was getting her own Super Hero High book? You bet I did. Did I refrain from scaring the Random House publicist when she asked if I want to take part in the Batgirl at Super Hero High blog tour? Yup.
