Farewell, December. Farewell, 2014. You will kind of be missed. The new year is upon us, and I am not ready. NOT AT ALL.
- I launched the YA Book Cover Choice Awards because I wanted awards that are book cover-focused! And who is better to host it? Me. (Because I’m such a nerd for book covers!) I wished I thought of it earlier, because I know the awards will run into the New Year. (But 2015 will definitely be different! ;) ) The voting for the semi-finals is open. So vote for the covers you want to make it to the final round!
- I’m so excited because so many new projects and resolutions. Eeeeek.
- I have an official launch date for my special project—February 1st! I will talk more about it later, but it’s coming together!
- Charlotte is the best and sent me the best card everrrrrr as well as awesome Christmas gift that I totally love! <3

ON THE BLOG
- I reviewed:
- The Last Best Kiss by Claire LaZebnik. Ugh, not the greatest retelling of Persuasion. Left a lot to be desired.
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. Very frustrating because of immature character voice + fucking Josh.
- I talked about:
- the different book covers with snow on it. Just in time for the holidays!
- all the YA/MG/comic books I read in 2014, which is surprising not a lot, and I broke them down into categories. See what I recommend you to read!
- I wrote letters to:
- to The Wrath and the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh. So in need of this A Thousand and One Night-inspired story!
- Liars, Inc by Paula Stokes. Liar liar pants on fire. Want the lying and the mystery!
- Santa, wishing for all of these awesome things like books and bags.
- I created this roundup of gorgeous lettering-focused holiday printables. Perfect to use as gift tags to put on your presents.
- I launched the YA Book Cover Choice Awards! I’m excited on making this a yearly thing. I asked for category suggestions, book cover nominations, and finally semi-finals voting to commence! Love book covers? Well, this is for you!
PLANS FOR JANUARY 2015
- Prepping for the secret project.
- Writing “Looking Ahead” posts and recaps of 2014 stuff (because I did a poor job of doing that in December. Whoops.)

CEE Why have I not discovered your blog before? Because it is amazing! I just love all of those beautiful covers of the books you bought yourself because I haven’t heard of a lot of them but HELLO COVER ART! I’ve read Stormdancer and I have the same edition as well and it is so gorgeous. Happy New Year!

I definitely want to read about A.J. Fikry… I read a few of the short stories that were inside it though. :-)
Happy 2015 reading!
