This week’s topic is “top ten favorite 2016 releases so far this year!” This is essentially my list of OH MY GOD, I LOVED THESE BOOKS SFM. GO AND READ THESE PLZ! MAKE ME HAPPY. I’ve pulled paragraphs from my reviews because I don’t think I can describe the books as well as I did in my reviews.
Now, in no particular order, here are my favorite 2016 releases so far this year!

I admit I’m a book cover snob. Who isn’t though?
Book covers are the first thing that attracts readers to a book. A good cover can draw someone is, just as a bad cover can easily draw someone away. It can essentially make or break a book. Holy, Mother Cover! is where I showcase the book covers that stand out (or make me cringe), and discuss cover changes.

This week’s topic is “top ten most anticipated releases for the second half of 2016!” How can I only pick ten??? This is like picking my favorite child (if I had any). It cannot be done very easily. I was trying the best to narrow it down to ten, which I did, but I feel like I’m forgetting other important books. There’s so many books I’m excited about!

New York Comic Con is around the corner (at least, it is for the characters in The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love), and Graham Posner and Roxana Afsari are desperate to go because the creator of their favorite comic series, Robert Zinc, is coming out of hiding and is scheduled to make an appearance. With this absolutely exciting news that they may possibly see their favorite comic book creator in the flesh, Graham decides to add to that by confessing his love for his best friend. And what better place to do that than at New York Comic Con?
I want this Middle Grade. I need this Middle Grade. My pre-teen self wants this Middle Grade.

In May, I attended my first Free Comic Book Day, and it was quite an experience that I would love to repeat again. The people, the love for comics, I loved it. Part of Free Comic Book Day meant that they were giving a bag of free comics you can take home with you. I managed to grab a couple of issues before they ran out, and the comics that were aimed for a younger audience were my favorite.
