I admit I’m a book cover snob. Who isn’t though?

Book covers are the first thing that attracts readers to a book. A good cover can draw someone is, just as a bad cover can easily draw someone away. It can essentially make or break a book. Holy, Mother Cover! is where I showcase the book covers that stand out (or make me cringe) and discuss cover changes.

Today is St. Patrick’s Day, which means it’s time to drink (responsibly, of course) and wear green!

For this Holy, Mother Cover post, I thought, “why not showcase the green YA covers of this year?” I gotta celebrate St. Patrick’s Day somehow. And voila!

Let’s check out the green Young Adult books that will be published in 2017!

All Mischa “Ish” Love has ever thought about is going to Mars. Sure, she’s gonna miss her family and her parrot Buzz Aldrin, but it’s Mars! Ish and her best friend, Tig, have discussed this Mars dream for years; she’s applied to the Mars Now project and rejected so many times she can’t count it on her hands. Despite the rejections and people’s non-believing reactions to her Mars dream, she’s not gonna give up. Ish will go to Mars.

But what happens when an unexpected diagnosis throws a wrench in her future plans?

TOO MUCH TBR • March 2017

In February, I did a decent job with my TBR list? Not as great as I want it to be, but just plain ole decent.

For those who do not know, Too Much TBR is a way to help me see which books I really need to read and tackle them. Is it effective? Perhaps. It helps a lot seeing a visual of the books on my TBR pile.
