TOP TEN TUESDAY • Books on my Spring 2017 TBR
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we list our top tens!
This week’s topic is “top ten books on my Spring TBR.” This Spring is gonna be filled with so many awesome books. (Though I say this for every year.) My Spring TBR list consist with a lot of comic-related books, books + puzzles, and many more.

Here are the books on my list.

  • A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi

Roshani Chokshi’s magical writing + Gauri + Vikram (who looks like Fawad Khan)? How can this book not be on my Spring TBR?

  • Geekerella by Ashley Poston

“Cinderella retelling set in world of comic cons and cosplay?” I’m a sucker for geek culture, so bring this on!

  • The Stone Heart (The Nameless City #2) by Faith Erin Hicks

Kaidu and Rat are back at it again! With conflicts in the Dao nation, I’m excited to see how the two kids navigate the political situation and what they do as war seem to approach.

  • If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

If We Were Villains give me major The Secret History vibes. I love stories that remind me of that—deceptive kids in a club or a society with people all playing a certain role as if in a play.

  • The Spectacular Sisterhood of Superwomen by Hope Nicholson

In this book, readers will get to learn about the background and history of different female characters in comics? Hell yes!

  • Book Savanger + The Unbreakable Code by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman

Books + scavenger hunts + puzzles. It seems like a great Middle Grade read.

  • I Believe In A Thing Call Love by Maurene Goo

Desi Lee is gonna enact the “KDrama Rules for True Love?” That is gonna be such a delight to read.

  • Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley

Australian Young Adult + childhood friends + + books + The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. I might not be a fan of reading romance in Young Adult, but my god, I love those combination of things in my books.

  • The Refrigerator Monologues by Catherynne M. Valente

All about the women in superhero comics. Female superheroes + their girlfriends. LOUDEST YES PLEASE.

What books are on your Spring TBR list?

I personally really enjoyed Words In Deep Blue, it’s not the best contemporary I’ve read but it is pretty strong.
