I love fonts. You can say I’m obsessed with collecting them all. It’s no secret to those who know me. You’re Just My Type is a new feature where I showcase the fonts I absolutely adore and use. And hopefully, you will love the fonts I pick. Add all of them to your font collection! Let it grow!

Since I’ve found a better way of formatting these posts, I am feeling the love of making these posts. I have actual heart eyes looking at the coloring of the backgrounds because it makes the headers above it look so good. Color coding, ftw!

Here are eight fonts I’ve found that I think you’d really love. So go forth and add these fonts to your font book!

I admit I’m a book cover snob. Who isn’t though?

Book covers are the first thing that attracts readers to a book. A good cover can draw someone is, just as a bad cover can easily draw someone away. It can essentially make or break a book. Holy, Mother Cover! is where I showcase the book covers that stand out (or make me cringe), and discuss cover changes.

COVER CHANGE: The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco

[row][column size=”1/2″]What do I think about the cover design? Very ominous.

There’s something very foreboding about the crows just perched on the branches of the hardcover of The Girl From the Well, and I love it. The crows tell a lot about what readers will find in the book. The crows are just sitting there and waiting—waiting for something bad to happen. You know what they say, crows are the harbingers of death, so you know something bad will happen. I love the unknown factor.

Would I buy this book based on the cover? Yes.[/column] [column size=”1/2″]What do I think about the cover design? Scary!

Whereas the hardcover took on an ominous bird motif, the paperback goes for the creepy girl image. What a difference! This cover clearly tells people that this is a horror book. I’m not a fan of this paperback cover because it creeps me out (which is doing its job), and looks a lot like the covers of the Asylum series by Madeleine Roux. At first glance, I would think they’re from the same series even though they’re not.

Would I buy this book based on the cover? No. [/column][/row]

Final Verdict: Hardcover! I love the crows, and I don’t want a creepy girl staring at me.

I love comics and graphic novels, so what do I do with that love? Well, I turn it into a new feature!

From Panel to Panel is a new feature where I talk about the awesome (and perhaps not-so awesome) comic books and graphic novels I’ve read. Basically, this will be me pushing them onto your laps. You’re welcome.

May approaches, and that means a month of awesome graphic novels that will be released! Yeeee.

As some of you may know, I’m a big comic book/graphic novel reader. I spend 1/4 of my time shoving comic books into people’s faces and demanding they read it (take The Wicked + The Divine and Ms. Marvel). And guess what I’m doing this time? Alerting you to all the awesome May graphic novels I’m excited about (and neeeeeeeeeed)!

I think I need a new heart. Not for the reason you think. (Yes, we are making heart puns.)

Many people, after reading this, may need a new one because they found this book absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful, but me? I need a new heart to feel what everybody is feeling because I just don’t get it.

Things We Know By Heart follows Quinn Sullivan whose life has essentially stopped when her boyfriend dies in an accident in their junior year, and attempts to move on by reaching out to the recipients of her boyfriend’s donated organs. However, the person with the only organ that matters to her, the heart, has not answered any of her letters, so she sets off to find him even though she knows she shouldn’t. When she does, she finds herself drawn to him and begins falling for him. With certain stakes on the line, will everything be okay?

You didn’t think you’d see these posts again, did you? (Me neither.)

It’s been over six months since my last batch of font finds, which is WOOOOOW, I never intended for that to happen. A few people urged me to do more font posts (because FONTS ARE AWESOME!), and voila! Your wish is my command!
