Huzzah!
I am completely blown away by the support and excitement I’ve gotten for this year’s YA Book Cover Choice Awards. It’s true what they say, people like covers. ;) You don’t know how much it means to me to see all of you voting, sharing it and your excitement. It makes hosting this Awards truly rewarding. Thank you to everybody who voted and shared this! Let us do it one more time, okay?
What you find in this post are: 8 covers for each category + polls. Let the best become the victor?
Here we go!
What You Need To Know
- This is the FINAL round.
- These covers are all reader nominated and voted.
- Vote for the cover you believe should win each category because it’s superior and prettier than the others and fits.
- Judge base on the covers. Not what’s in the book.
- You’re only allowed to vote for ONE cover once.
- DO NOT CHEAT. DO NOT SPAM VOTE. I will be checking the spreadsheet for suspicious activity.
- If you click on the pictures, it will pop up a bigger image. If you want a bigger picture, click on the links in the Google Docs poll.
- When you click on the category links below, it’ll take you directly to that category.
- If you have questions or need clarifications, feel free to ask them and I will answer. :)
- Voting ends Wednesday, December 9, 2015 12 PM PST. (The results will be unveiled Friday, December 11 PST.)
- Last but not least, have fun! Share this with friends and force them to vote!
Bye, bye nominations. Helllllloooo, voting round!
Let me say, 1. thank you to everybody who nominated! <3 and 2. I am EXHAUSTED after laying out and putting this post together non-stop. It’s so much to do for one person—compiling the votes, making the images and laying everything out. (Good thing is that I had this layout already, so I didn’t have to figure out the logistics of everything. Bless that I started doing the Cover Awards last year.)
What you find in this post are: 15 (yes, that’s right) covers for each category + polls. I was amazed at the many different covers that people nominated, but unfortunately not all of them made it in the semi-finals round because they didn’t have a lot of nominations for them or didn’t belong in the category or in YA. (So sad that Conviction didn’t make it into “Best Typography” or The Walls Around Us in “Best Illustration.”)
Enough chit chat. This is a lonnnnnnnng post, so beware of scrolling. ;D (Seriously. When you reach the bottom, you will go, “man, Cee wasn’t kiddin’ around.”)
And once again, we begin.

And so, we begin! It’s nominations time for the 2015 YA Book Cover Choice Awards!
Prepare yourselves, my dear friends!
The YA Book Cover Choice Awards is back!
You might be asking what are you talking about? If you weren’t here for last year, I began pondering why there weren’t any awards for YA covers! We need appreciation for those gorgeous book covers, don’t we? Hence, the birth of YA Book Cover Choice Awards. (It’s quite a mouthful.)
Well, the results are in, and oh boy, there are some predictable winners and then there are surprising ones, at least to me. I’m excited to unveil all the winners.
Around 80+ people voted, and even though it’s not the amount I was looking for, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who voted and promoted this. This little book cover awards is very close to my heart, since I’m such a book cover nerd at times, so it means the world to be that you took the time to partake in this.
Let’s get revealing and discussing!
And voila! We have the final voting round ever for the best 2014 YA book covers! Are you excited as I am? I am pumped that we reached this point!
After all the voting, you will see the top five covers for each category. The outcome of some categories were predictable, but others—well, I was extremely surprised and a bit disappointed that soo many awesome covers were knocked out of the running. It hurts my heart, but hey, that’s what you guys picked!
