Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we list our top tens!
This week’s topic is “top ten books people have been recommended to me.” Oh man, guys. So many books have been recommended to me over the course of the year, and it’s really hard to keep track. In this list, I’ve only included books people recommended me, which I still haven’t read. Most of these books are on the top of my TBR list. Most people recommended these books to me because they love it, and these books have one or a few of my favorite tropes (like friendships, superheroes, thieves, assassins, etc). These books are an absolute must for me to read in the near future.

I’ve read Throne of Glass (I’m not a HUGE fan but it’s ok; the sequel is better!), but I’d really, really recommend The Lies of Locke Lamora because:
1) thieves
2) orphans
3) it’s like Ocean’s 11 only better
4) the most innovative cursing I’ve encountered – ever.
5) the story gets better and better (in the two sequels)
Yeah. Lynch is one of my all-time favourite authors, not just in the fantasy genre.
The only book I’ve read on your list is Winger, and it’s just such a good book!
There’s friendships and rugby and awesome doodles! :D
I really want to read Since You’ve Been Gone and Aristotle and Dante! I’m on the fence about Vicious and Throne of Glass…but I’ll probably end up giving them a try just because everyone and their sister seems to like them!
If I stare at you hard enough or dangle pics of Seb in front of you would you read any of these asap? LOL. I don’t even need to say anything for The Knife of Never Letting Go because hello? Patrick Ness. (Although I still haven’t read it yet but SHHHH soon) *stares at you hard for Winger and Vicious*
IDK if I would recommend Throne of Glass to you, as much as I love that series I’m thinking it might not be for you but I’m not too sure because things for me really got good during the sequel, it could go either way. HAHAHAHAHA for Shatter Me. You know what how I feel about that.
LOCKE LAMORA YES.
Winger has been on my radar for ages – it sounds fantastic and bloggers I love praised it!
Yes yes Aristotle & Dante! Gah, just so much love for that book!
I think you’ll love Vicious. It seems like such a Cee book to me!
Read Throne of Glass! I figured one more person telling you one more time couldn’t hurt. ;) I also highly support you reading Vicious.
A lot of good recs that you should definitely check out!
Pssssst, you should start with Throne of Glass *wink, wink
YOU HAVE to at least read Aristotle and Dante! It’s beautiful!
Everyone and their moms (and their grandmothers) are totally correct in recommending Throne of Glass. ’Tis fabulous!
And Shatter Me is kind of a personal thing – it’s whether you like purple prose or not. But book three in the series is the best, so I always say read the trilogy just for Ignite Me ;)
YES PLEASE TO KNIFE.
WHY HAVEN’T YOU READ VICIOUS YET, CEE? WHY, WHY, WHY?
And Throne of Glass…are you TRYING to give me a heart attack? On that note, have you read The Raven Boys?
And please read Since You’ve Been Gone already. Like, really. Just- Sigh.
