Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we list our top tens!

This week’s topic is “top ten most unique books I’ve read” or to me, it’s books that made me go “what did I just read????????” I like books that either mess with my head or make me confused as to whether I like it or not. Those books always startle me because it’s not something that I have read before. I’ve managed to round up ten books that gave me that confused feeling.

Here are the books on my list.

Geek girl Elle Wittimer lives and breathes Starfield, the classic sci-fi series she grew up watching with her late father. So when she sees a cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie, she has to enter. The prize? An invitation to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball, and a meet-and-greet with the actor slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot. With savings from her gig at the Magic Pumpkin food truck (and her dad’s old costume), Elle’s determined to win…unless her stepsisters get there first.

Teen actor Darien Freeman used to live for cons—before he was famous. Now they’re nothing but autographs and awkward meet-and-greets. Playing Carmindor is all he’s ever wanted, but Starfield fandom has written him off as just another dumb heartthrob. As ExcelsiCon draws near, Darien feels more and more like a fake—until he meets a girl who shows him otherwise. But when she disappears at midnight, will he ever be able to find her again?

Part romance, part love letter to nerd culture, and all totally adorbs, Geekerella is a fairy tale for anyone who believes in the magic of fandom.

Goodreads · Amazon · Barnes & Noble · The Book Depository · Indigo · Indiebound · Library

Well hello there! I am here to kick off the Geekerella blog tour, and I am unbelievably excited to have Ashley Poston on my blog. I’ve started Geekerella, and oh my god, the book managed to captivate me from the page one.

For this post, Ashley has provided a list of recommended geek reads that everybody should read.

Can you guess what books she picked? Can’t think of any? It’s okay, here they are!

At the end of the year, the End of the Year Book Survey (by Jamie @ The Perpetual Page-Turner) pops up onto my feed, and it always gets me giddy to do it.

There’s gonna be some repeats because most of the books I read weren’t as memorable as I like them to be.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we list our top tens!

This week’s topic is “top ten nine books I read because of another person.” Whenever I hear friends raving about books (that has things I love reading about), I immediately put it on my TBR list. They’re a helpful resource who recommend books I may love or find surprising. It’s always thrilling to find myself enjoying their recommendations because I don’t love books so easily.

Here are the books I remember reading because of another person.
