CAMP NANOWRIMO | Well, hello there.

Yes, I am participating in Camp NaNoWriMo!

It’s an absolute first for me. I never took part in Camp before, so I am slightly excited/scared. I’m sure it will be no different to my experience with normal NaNoWriMo. Will I achieve my goals for this one? Maybe. Maybe not. (Hoping for the former.)

For those who do not know what is it, it’s like regular NaNoWriMo, but it’s set in April, has cabins (filled with writers who you can talk to and get encouragement from), and you get to pick your own word count and the project’s category (novel, nonfiction, scripts, etc)! It’s wonderful!

I love fonts. You can say I’m obsessed with collecting them all. It’s no secret to those who know me. You’re Just My Type is a new feature where I showcase the fonts I absolutely adore and use. And hopefully, you will love the fonts I pick. Add all of them to your font collection! Let it grow!

There isn’t a day that passes that I don’t use these fonts. I use them on a daily basis and I absolutely love it. I always find myself staring lovingly at these because why not? These are “oh my god, never not using these fonts because they don’t make my eyes bleed,” so you know these will be good. ;D

You don’t have to download any of these because these fonts are already in your computer. Isn’t that wonderful?

March was a really great month for me (despite the lack of reviews)!

I got that internship! I’ve been doing lots of editorial work, which I love doing! Plus, the staff is incredibly fabulous!
Nikki @ The Paper Sea made me the fabulous blog header and button you see before you. I am forever in love with it! I changed the colors to match the header, and I remade my meme banners and my review heading images because I was ~inspired. Thanks, Nikki!
My love for Lee Pace has come back full force, and I found my fangirl tv/movies/actors/actresses soulmate. (That’s you, Charlotte!)
I spent around five hours last Thursday laying out poems and prose pieces into InDesign for my college’s literary journal. It might not sound fun, but I really enjoy the layout process.

* did something advanced with a boy (#15)
* had an argument with a boy (#14)
* had a panic attack
* lost a lacrosse game (she’s the goalie)
* failed a math test (she’ll make it up)
* hurt Meghan’s feelings (even though they aren’t really friends)
* became a social outcast (no one to sit with at lunch)
* had graffiti written about her in the girls’ bathroom (who knows what was in the
boys’!?!)

But don’t worry—Ruby lives to tell the tale. And make more lists.

FOUR THINGS YOU WILL PROBABLY DO WHEN YOU READ THE BOYFRIEND LIST

I think it’s safe to say that I’m a huge fan of E. Lockhart, especially after reading this book. I don’t usually find contemporary YA that focus on typical high school dramas appealing, but I enjoyed The Boyfriend List more than I expected and that pleasantly surprised me. The book makes me reminisce my own high school experience. It was in no way full of the dramas that the main character, Ruby Oliver, faced, but I could identify with what she felt. I really enjoyed this book so much that I couldn’t do a conventional review. Why not a list-type one that tells you what you will probably do when you read The Boyfriend List?

Let’s be honest, nobody follows the age-old cliché that tells us not to judge a book by its covers. If you say you do, I am side-eying you. Book covers are the first thing that attracts any of us readers to a book. Before you pick up a book, the cover can essentially make or break a book. If I don’t like a cover design, I won’t pick it up. Lucky for us, publishing companies publish different cover designs, especially when a paperback book comes out. Sometimes we like it, sometimes we don’t. Let’s discuss these cover changes, shall we?

Why I’m waiting?

This is another cover that totally speaks to me and you probably can guess why. ;D The fonts! I am really in love with this cover. I love the summer-themed cover. It makes me yearn for summer (even though I’m not really a summer person).

I absolutely adore the synopsis. I love that Emily’s’s doing these tasks so she can hopefully find Sloane, her kind of best friend. My heart does a weird flip when friendships are involved. I love them. Of course, along the way, Emily’s gonna come out of her shell and I’m so excited to see what exactly happens during her summer to make that happen.
