Sometimes I wonder what the hell I’m doing with this blog.
Today is my sixth blogversary, and I feel stuck. I’ve been blogging for six years, and in the quietness state of my blog, I’ve been reflecting about what I want my blog to be. I haven’t posted much—work has kept me away, and I’ve had a hard time focusing on reading a novel. I’ve always been like that, but it’s gotten worse this year. I can start a book easily, but finishing it? Hah! Books that are up my alley take me ages to read. I feel like I peaked, and I don’t know how to get back to that point where I was reading books and interacting with people.
Reflecting back on who I was now and back then, I’ve grown so much. I’m more opinionated; I know what I like and do not like to read (get that teen romance out of my face); I value my time more (in terms of what I want to read); I enjoy recommending books to people (which I never liked before, but I’m perfectly comfortable doing. I can talk up a storm of books people should read).
What I want to do in the future:
- Posting more! Reviews, comics talks, discussions maybe. Get back to my roots.
- Be active on social media. I want to talk to friends and new people about books, movies, and so on. I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT THINGS OKAY.
- Possibly revamp my blog design. Give it a fresh look. (But I am rather attach to it so IDK.)
Thank you to everybody who’s read my posts, and talked to about everything. <3
In the mean time, let me recommend some books I discovered this year that you should definitely read:
- Everything from Rick Riordian’s mythology imprint!!!!: Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi (Indian mythology) + The Storm Runner by J.C. Cervantes (Mayan mythology + disabled rep) + The Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee (Korean mythology in Space!!! + comes out in January 2019!)
I will celebrate my sixth blogoversary by watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Congrats on 6 years Cee, that is a HUGE accomplishment!! I am approaching 5 years soon and I know what you mean by feeling “stuck” sometimes, and how it can be hard to think of fresh content or new ways to engage. Best of luck in this upcoming year for your blog (I also love your design too!)
