I know I haven’t done one of these posts in forever, but THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I NEED YOUR HELP.

You know how I’m super into book covers? Well, guess what! I’ve decided to host:

I was wondering why there wasn’t a “Best Of” celebration post or Book Cover Choice Awards specifically for YA covers that had been decided by readers. You have Epic Reads’ Book Shimmy Awards and Goodreads Choice Awards, but those aren’t based on the book cover designs. There are sites like Buzzfeed that create best book cover lists compiled by a single person (or what seems to be), but where are the best YA book covers picked by readers?

This is where you come in.

I need your help in coming up with award categories. Spare a few minutes and suggest what categories should be in this Book Cover Choice Awards in this form, tweet with the hashtag #YABCCAwards, or comment below.

The plan: Suggestions for award categories will close Thursday 12/11 9 PM PST, and book cover nominations will begin Saturday 12/13 (or perhaps sooner). Sound good? :)

Can anybody out there think of books with awesome title fonts? (It can be a Young Adult novel or general fiction or anything. As long as the book has a good title font, I will accept them.)

I am planning to do something for my font feature. (For those who do not know what I’m talking about, I have a feature called You’re Just My Type where I showcase fonts that you should add to your font collection.) What exactly is this plan though? I’m playing the font sleuth! Basically, say that you absolutely adore the To All The Boys I Loved Before title font, I will attempt to search for similar-looking fonts so you can add it to your growing font collection. If you’re going AKJLSJDWOUEQPW0802I;KWKDLASDJSA, that is my exact reaction too! I’m really excited about it. I had initially planned to do this, but I wasn’t sure when. Now the day has come and I need your help in searching for awesome book title fonts!

I’ve been thinking a lot about about revamping my current book cover series. So far, the only thing I’ve been doing is discuss cover changes. I will continue to keep it up because I love hearing what everybody likes or doesn’t like about the cover, but I want more. I’m planning to expand my book cover feature to showcase five or six book covers with a theme much like the lovely Georgie at What She Reads’s Holy, Mother Cover (which is the best book cover feature name ever!) and Stacked. I love seeing how book covers with the same theme look so different from each other.

The thing is I need help.

1. I need a better and unique name than Judg(ing) A Book By Its Cover because it’s cliche and overdone. I would prefer something unique and clever like Georgie’s Holy, Mother Cover. I’ve been racking my brain for a good one, but I can only come up with cliche and cheesy names. I can’t have that! If you have name suggestions for my book cover feature, feel free to tell me. I just need ideas to get my brain going. And of course, I will shower you with all the love you deserve in the world!

2. What would you like to see in the revamped cover series? More cover change discussions? Showcasing covers from a theme? What else?
