Welcome to Too Much TBR (September edition)!

I have a lot of arcs I need to tackle this month (and next month too), so I’ve taken a page from Nikki‘s book and displayed all the September reads I want to read (because holy moly, there’s a lot of them) in the form of Too Much TBR. I’m hoping that having everything laid out in picture form will help me tackle my TBR list. It’s a good reminder to see because I keep forgetting what books I have to read.

I read approximately seven books last month, and I gotta read eight for this month. Can I do it? Hopefully! Let’s see what books are on my September TBR.

PRIORITY SEPTEMBER READS

tbr september

Most of these priority reads are either because they’re review books or I want to prepare myself for book events I will be attending (Leigh Bardugo and Patrick Ness will be stopping in the Bay Area for their book tour. Yeeeee.) I’m very excited to read all of them because they sound frickin’ amazing. I’m hoping I fall in love with all of them.

I’ve omitted a book from my original priority September reads list because I finished it before posting this. I’ve also finished Fans of the Impossible Life, and I’m 40% into Dumplin’, so I’m at seven and a half books left at the moment. That’s great progress, right?

POSSIBLE SEPTEMBER READS

Of course, there are still a lot of September books I want to get to, but these ones aren’t high on my priority list. If I manage to finish all eight books on my priority list, I can pick a few books from this list to read. I’m very excited about Fates and Furies (because rich married couple problems) and I Crawl Through It (because A.S. King’s works are always so amazing).

All these books here do not account for other books that may slip into my TBR list (because mood reading will probably happen) nor of the comics I will be reading. I’m sure I missed other books I want to read this month too, but since I can’t remember, it must not be priority, right? Let’s hope I make a dent in my TBR books for September!

Tell me what’s on your September TBR list. Have you read any of the books on my lists? Or are you planning to read them?

  1. Thats a lot of interesting books to read this month, I don’t make TBRs as I can never stick to them. The only books I definitely intend to read this month are Queen of Shadows and Neverwhere

  2. My only goal for The Martian was to read it before the movie comes out! So, less than a month now that I procrastinated. :D

Ah, I see some of the books I’ve read and loved already – Six of Crows (MY GOODNESS, I REALLY LOVED THIS ONE!), The Weight of Feathers (It’s definitely beautifully written) and Rules for Stealing Stars (It’s really good!). Happy reading :)

I’ve been wanting to read Dumplin’ and The Martian myself, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I don’t really keep a list like this because I’d never be able to stick to it, so I definitely admire your organization.

    Good luck!

  5. Hehe, the cover from Furiously happy made me laugh. I can’t wait to read Six of Crows. The rest of us just live here really impressed me. I’ve read This monstrous thing and The unquiet. Not bad, but they aren’t memorable to me. I hope you like them better! :)

  6. My September and October TBR piles are crazy!!!!! So many great books coming out and so many older ones I want to read to. Good luck!

  7. i hope you get to read all these fantastic books this month gal! i just wish i had free time but since im in senior year im grateful if i get to read one book during the weekend…. anyway! yes i can’t wait for you to read six of crows. leigh’s writing just keeps on getting better and better and never fails to surprise me. i got an arc of the fans of the impossible life yesterday and had no clue it comes out this month so i’ll definitely have to read it asap. why isn’t queen of shadows on your list? have you finished reading it or maybe you havent read the series yet?

anyway books that are on my tbr for the month are vengeance road by erin bowman, dumplin’ and everything everything ?

I loved Dumplin’ and I was hoping to read The Martian but couldn’t get into it.

  9. I am reading What We Saw now… and I would love to read I Crawl Through it really soon. I LOVE A.S. King, so it should definitely be a priority for me. I also really want to read The Martian and Dumplin and Fans of the Impossible Life… not to mention Lair of Dreams, Stand-Off, Never Never, Violent Ends… there are so many books that either came out recently or are coming out soon!!
