Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you share books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
It’s been a month since my last STS, but here I am. These books had me bouncing all over my room! So much awesomeness!
Throne of Glass (signed) by Sarah J. Maas
Crown of Midnight (signed) by Sarah J. Maas
Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard (signed by Sarah J. Maas)
[I actually have showcased these books earlier, but that was in my August roundup. I had yet to show them off in Stacking the Shelves, so voila!]
Vicious (signed ARC) by VE Schwab (from Jenna Does Books)
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
More Than This (ARC) by Patrick Ness
A Darkness Strange and Lovely by Susan Dennard (from Tar Heel Bibliobabe)
Extremely excited to start all of them! I’ve already read the first chapters of Vicious, Attachments, and More Than This, and I am already in love. (I should really stop reading multiple books at once. ;D)
ALSO.
If you have missed my previous posts, check them out:
- Monday | I reviewed Tumble & Fall by Alexandra Coutts, and it is sooo goddamn boring. I wished for the end to come, so I didn’t have to read anymore.
- Tuesday | I finally did Top Ten Tuesday, which was on my Fall TBR list. To be honest, my TBR has changed when I realized there are tons of events I’m planning to go to in October, so I am unable to read them.
- Wednesday | I “wait on” The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead because I need Adrian Ivashkov in my life again! GIVE HIM TO ME.
- Thursday | In the discussion post, I asked people if they prepped their blog posts in advance, which I do not do because I am a procrastinator.
- Friday | I reviewed Glitches (The Lunar Chronicles #0.5) by Marissa Meyer. Totally hooked now. I need to read Cinder.
* Note to everyone: I may be using Goodreads’ links in my posts (or refer back to them), but that does not mean I support or condone the censorship that has taken place on that site.
How was your week? What books did you pick up? Have you read any of the books I bought/received?

JEALOUSY. I read an ARC of THRONE OF GLASS a while back and totally loved it, but I don’t have my own copy yet! And everyone’s been raving about the sequel, which I STILL haven’t read. Not sure I will be, too, anytime soon, because I’m flat broke this month. I can’t wait to see what you think, though! As for SOMETHING STRANGE AND DEADLY, it was a quirky and fun zombie novel. Hope you like!
Am I the only one who thinks Rainbow Rowell’s covers are just the cutest? Seriously. First it was ELEANOR & PARK (with those two absolutely adorable illustrated figures), and then it was FANGIRL, which was probably cuter still, and now ATTACHMENTS? I love how the paperclip joins the two parts of the word together — fits in with the title really nicely! I’ve never actually read any of her books, but I know a lot of people who really liked them. So glad that you’re enjoying what you’re reading so far!
MORE THAN THIS: I’ve heard nothing but great things. I’m a bit afraid to give Patrick Ness a go, though, because his books never really caught my attention and I’m afraid that I might not feel the same about him as many other people do.
And ugh, about Goodreads. I’m so annoyed that they’re letting whiny authors get their way. I mean, if you’re going to become an author, negative reviews are all part of the package! How about they look at bad reviews as a way to improve their work, rather than a personal attack on them? Snark does not equal bullying. Bad-mouthing a book does not equal bullying. It’s only when the reviewer calls the author or the readers something offensive that it’s counted as abuse. Why can’t they understand that?! *sigh* I wonder if this warrants a change to a different book website. Like Shelfari, for instance…

Great books! GOSH I LOVE THRONE OF GLASS AND CROWN OF MIDNIGHT! haha excuse the excitement I just finished Crown of Midnight last night. I’m still going to use goodreads to keep track of things and look up books, but I will not posting reviews on there. I tried using booklikes just organized my shelves but it’s too confusing at times. Great post!

OMG I’m so jealous! September was a sad month to me, I think I only bought one book.
I can’t wait to read Susan Dennard’s books, they have such a gorgeous covers :) As for Throne of Glass and Crown of Mindnight I read the first one a while back and I looooooooooved it! I don’t have this stunning edition, though (yeah, I have a thing with beautiful editions) hahaha
P.S Sorry If there are any mistakes, English is not my first language and I’m reading your blog to improve my skills :-)

As for Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight, -throws confetti-. I still have to read Crown of Midnight, but I have other books to read first so…
