TOP TEN TUESDAY | Books I Hope Santa Will Bring Me

December 24, 2013 Comments : 10

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we list our top tens! This week’s topic is “top ten books I wouldn’t mind Santa bringing me” or in my case, “books I hope Santa will bring me.” YES. This one speaks to me. (I haven’t been doing Top Tens because I didn’t really like the topics.) I WANT ALL THE BOOKS IN THE WORLD, but these in this post are books I desperately need on my shelves. Like now. SANTA, GIVE ME ALL OF THEM PLEASEEEE.

Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore | Vicious | Tell the Wolves I’m Home
Leviathan | The Rosie Project | Winger
Aristole and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe | The Book Thief | Ready Player One
The Mistborn Trilogy*

(*I am counting the Mistborn Trilogy as one. ;D)

What books do you want to see under your tree?

Eep–Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe & The Book Thief are two of my favorite books! They must be under your tree–don’t worry, I’ll try to conspire with Santa for you, because those two books, seriously. . .
Those UK Mistborn covers are so pretty(I assume UK, I know it’s some sort of international edition). WHY does the US have the awful covers? I listened to the audiobook of Ready Player One and had a blast. The audiobook is narrated by Wil Wheaton, and there’s all these nerdy references. . . it’s just really fun to geek out to.
I don’t think I actually included them on this particular TTT, but Winger, Vicious, and Tell the Wolves I’m Home are all on my wishlist as well. The Rosie Project is too, but luckily I’m on the wait list for that one at the library(and have been for months–I think I’m finally like THIRD on the list for the ONE copy the library has).

I hope Santa brings me a lot of these books too! Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore seems really intriguing. I NEED Vicious under my tree. I also really want to read Tell the Wolves I’m Home especially because it is outside of what I would normally read, but I still think I would enjoy it. I need The Book Thief too! I saw the movie yesterday, so now I want this book quite desperately.

I want Mr. Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore, too because 1. it sounds amazing and 2. the cover is glow in the dark. Totally wanting Rosie Project as well since it seems quirky and why not? P.S Totally hoping you get a copy of Roomies as well! ^.^

All of these look fabulous! I just found Aristotle and Dante at the used bookshop around the block and I’m SO FREAKING EXCITED TO READ IT AHHHHHHH. I’ve never heard of Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore, but the title alone is enough to make me want it.
I’ve been hearing awesome things about Vicious, but I want to read The Archived first. (Don’t ask me why it has to be in that order, because I don’t know. It could be for the sake of alphabetical order or just because I have weird reading habits, who the hell knows.)
I hope you find all of these books and more under your tree tomorrow, and I hope you enjoy them! Happy holidays! :)

I want all of these! Except The Book Thief because I already own it (but still haven’t read it *gasp*) I especially want Vicious because I only hear good things and I want to read a book where the characters are grey and not clearly good/evil. Also, I’ve never heard of The Rose Project before and might have to look into it a little more

The Book Thief. Every time I see that, I almost buy it. EVERY TIME. And I have yet to own it. It always manages to get itself back on the shelf :/
I totally cheated on my Top Ten post. So I totally understand putting a trilogy as one haha. Hope Santa did right by you(:
