Dear Victoria,

Mannnnn. You really grate on my nerves, do you know that? Your “holier-than-thou” attitude frustrates me, but you know what frustrates me even more? When you just blurt out things that will most likely get you in trouble like your nonstop questions.

I know strange and creepy things are happening in your beloved Belleville. You have lots of questions that the adults refuse to answer. I would ask questions too, but you have to think tactically about this! You’re drawing unwanted attention to yourself! You have to think about who you’re asking the questions to. What if they were “in” on the mysterious disappearance of Lawrence and the other kids? Don’t just blab your mouth to every adult! Don’t you want to figure out what’s going on? If somebody catches you trying to get information about all the strange happenings, that’s it! You’re done! What happened to Lawrence will most likely happen to you. You don’t want that to happen to you, right? (I know I wouldn’t!)

I really wish you getting caught was part of an elaborate plan to get inside the Cavendish house to get some answers. Alas, it was not. I guess you’re only book smart.

You know, besides your questions, remember your actions when you finally found Lawrence? THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. You have to be subtle, sneaky too. I know you have no experience being that, but assess the situation! Is this the time and place to emit a large scream and throw yourself onto your friend?  No it’s not! You’re drawing A LOT of attention to yourself. I know you missed Lawrence and was excited to see him, but Mrs. Cavendish is already out to get you. Don’t you know she’ll do something really horrible to you? To Lawrence? What were you thinking?

I understand you’re only twelve, but for a girl who prides herself on being at the top of your class, I thought you would know better. I guess I was wrong.

Sincerely,

cee

I haven’t read this book, but dangggg girl. You’re a bit harsh on Victoria eh? I mean, she’s only twelve and here you all being disappointed in her and telling her off for not being smart. Tsk tsk. I can only imagine if I were Victoria that this kind of letter would make me cry!

It’s a good thing you never sent me a postcard! haha ;)

Hahahahaha. I feel so bad! But it had to be said…for my own sanity. ;D

I’m sure she won’t cry. Just glare at me, thinking to herself that as long as she’s at the top of her class, everything doesn’t matter (or something along that line). :P

I wouldn’t send you a scathing postcard. Far from it!
