WEEKLY RECAP | January 6-17

January 19, 2014 Comments : 4

theweeklyrecap

I have decided to do a weekly recap! I will probably be changing its name, but in the mean time, let’s get started!

Books Read (or Currently Reading)

  • Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith
  • I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls #1) by Ally Carter
  • The Unbound (ARC) by Victoria Schwab
  • Avalon (ARC) by Mindee Arnett

January 6-10

  • Monday | I review Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith.
  • Tuesday | I discuss the cover change in Just One Day by Gayle Forman. I get super ~deep in my interpretation.
  • Wednesday | I wait on The Unbound by Victoria Schwab because this series and the author are frickin’ amazing!
  • Thursday | In the first discussion post of the year, I talk about how I listen to audiobooks! It turns out that I am, indeed, a special sunflower with the way I listen to them. :\
  • Friday | I unveil the new name to my letters feature! It’s now called “Sincerely Cee: A letter from yours truly.” (Thank you to Shelly at Readiculous Reads for helping me come up with this greatttt name!) I write a letter to One Day by David Nicholls because mannn, that book, you guys. (You know. ;D)

January 13-17

  • Monday | I review I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls #1) by Ally Carter with Shelly of Readiculous Reads. It’s kind of long, but it’s expected since it’s a discussion-review!
  • Tuesday | I debut my font feature! “You’re Just My Type!” I’m really super proud of this!
  • Wednesday | I wait on Cress by Marissa Meyer because I need to know if my precious babies are fine!
  • Thursday | I discuss the cover change in Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Eyes ftw!
  • Friday | I write a letter to Agnes from Agnes and the Hitman. Let me tell you, I just couldn’t deal with her life. It was an absolute circus!

In the blogosphere

  • Anya @ On Starships and & Dragonwings wrote a guide to getting approved on Edelweiss. THE BEST!
  • Nina @ The Sea of Pages interviewed me for her Fangirl Friday, which is an awesome new blogger spotlight feature! I am honored to start it off for her!
  • Claire @ Bitches with Book fancasted actors/actresses  for Angelfall and I really love her choices.
  • Debby @ Snuggly Oranges created these awesome how-tos about organizing with spreadsheets and managing book inventory.
  • Epic Reads put up an awesome book list of teens in space.

I know that’s two weeks, but I had to include the previous week since I had intended to start the weekly recap then (but I didn’t). I will try to keep this up. I prefer doing this than doing a monthly recap. We shall see how it goes.

Right now I am currently reading that and Elusion by Claudia Gabel & Cheryl Klam which is such a cool and amazing read. You should def. check it out. :) Happy reading!

I love the letters feature! :P Sometimes I really wish characters were real just so I could talk to them for a day. The next best thing would be their authors, of course.
